Rehabilitation & Fitness
All our rehabilitation services at Belladoggie are provided by our rehabilitation team from Dag's House. Dag's House provides a place for dog owners to access information, education, and services to ensure overall well-being, increase fitness and improve the quality of life of their dogs.
We work closely with veterinarians and other health care professionals and require a referral from your primary veterinarian to begin rehabilitation. The services offered by Dag's House are designed to complement the care of your veterinarian and are not a substitute for appropriate veterinary care.
Canine rehabilitation and fitness utilize many of the same techniques and equipment used in physical rehabilitation and exercise, adapted for canine use. We utilize the underwater treadmill, an endless swim pool, outdoor swimming pool, acupuncture, canine massage therapy, low level laser, magnetotherapy, physical exercises, wheelchairs, assisted ambulation harnesses, balance boards, and other rehabilitative support equipment.
As in human physical rehabilitation, canines recover faster and are more likely to return to their previous activity levels with a comprehensive rehabilitation program.
